PUBLIC NOTICE
The assignment of Jackson County Ambulance Service Area 2 to Mercy Flights will expire on December 31, 2025. The assignment to an ambulance service area grants an agency exclusive rights to ground ambulance services in that area. Letters of intent to serve the ambulance service area must be submitted to the Director of Jackson County Health and Human Services by September 2, 2025. If Mercy Flights wishes to be reassigned to Ambulance Service Area 2, they must provide information that demonstrates the provider has and will continue to meet and/or exceed the Jackson County Ambulance Service Area plan requirements. If at least one letter of intent is submitted by an entity other than Mercy Flights, each entity shall submit an application that shall include, at a minimum, the information required by Section 7.3 of Chapter 1075 of the Jackson County Ordinances. Competing applicants will be required to post a bond on or before the date of application submission to qualify for consideration.
